Dear Grade 12 graduating students and families,

We want to provide you with an update on graduation celebrations tentatively scheduled for June 23, 2022.

The uncertainty with regards to large gatherings based on shifting information and direction from the Ministry of Education and Public Health has caused a delay in solidifying a venue. This adds a layer of complexity as we search for an appropriate venue that will allow for all of our students, families and support networks to be present. Grand River is one of 4 schools in the region that traditionally host a spring commencement ceremony. All other schools in the region host a fall commencement ceremony. Further communication will be provided as soon as possible.

Cap and Gown Purchase :

Celebrating and recognizing this milestone is still our priority regardless of the format. With a tentative date booked we are sending out an announcement to all our prospective grads through school day. Please take a minute to login to your School-Day account and click on the Products to fill out your Commencement Package indicating your intent to attend and your student’s gown size. If you are not on School Day, please call the main office @ 519-576-5100. With the tight timelines, we will require this information by Monday, May 2nd.

Once we have finalized the remaining details, we will communicate to all our Grads and families in regards to specifics, including location and ticket sales.
