Public Health will be enforcing the Immunization of School Pupils Act (ISPA) during the 2024-25 school year. ISPA is an Ontario law that requires certain vaccines to be given for a child to attend school, making sure that all school-aged children are protected from vaccine preventable diseases.

Parents are responsible for reporting their child’s vaccine records or submitting a valid medical or non-medical vaccine exemption to Public Health. Your health care provider does not submit records for you.

If you have recently received a letter indicating that your child does not have any vaccine records on file with Public Health, please visit www.regionofwaterloo.ca/vaccines.

Here you can:

  • Access more information about ISPA
  • Request or report vaccine records
  • Submit vaccine exemption forms
  • Book vaccine appointments
