The Turkey Bowl is Grand River’s annual challenge with Cameron Heights. The Turkey Bowl is our largest fundraiser for the Food Bank of Waterloo Region. Students are asked to bring non-perishable food items and/or cash donations to their homeroom. The challenge is based primarily on the results of the food drive as well as athletic match ups culminating in the senior boys football night game against Cameron Heights. This year we were able to book the turf field at the Jacob Hespler.
To support our students getting to the JHSS field we will be operating a Spirit Bus (numbers permitting). Students can pick up the required permission slip in the main office. The cost of the bus and admission is $5. Students can bring their completed permission slip and cash to the tuck shop at lunch. Students who ride the bus to JHSS must also return on the bus. Forms and money are due by the end of lunch Wednesday Oct. 5. The bus departs GRCI at 6:30 pm and will return at approximately 9 pm,.
