Grand River Collegiate invites all  future Renegades and their families to attend our Grade 8 Information Night. The transition to high school is an important and exciting time, and we hope to support students and families with the changes to come. Our information night will allow for a general introduction to high school, as well as a chance for families to ask detailed questions, and experience a taste of what daily life is like in Grade 9.

The format of the evening will be an open house on Wednesday December 4th and run from 6:30-8:30 pm. Families will be welcomed at any time during the evening to learn about our course offerings, co-curricular clubs and athletics. Additionally, board specialized (magnet) programs, school programs and SHSM (Specialist High Skills Major) opportunities will be featured.

The format of the evening will be as follows:

6:30: Welcome presentation in the Cafeteria

7:00: Open House format: families can complete a tour of the school on their own

7:00: Magnet program information sessions: Extended French, Strings Music, Fast Forward

7:00: Secondary School presentations by the Guidance Department

7:25: Secondary School presentations by the Guidance Department
