The Waterloo Region District School Board and GRCI are committed to providing a safe, caring and inclusive learning environment. Bullying Prevention and Awareness week reinforces a clear and positive message that bullying is not acceptable in our schools and communities.

Each day this week we will have activities running in support of the Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week.  All week long students can check in with the GRCI Twitter account @GrandRiverSAC to follow along and participate in activities.

Monday & Tuesday

Sign the GRCI pledge to end bullying.  The pledge will be available in the hallway outside the cafeteria.  Students who sign during lunch hour can also pick up a THINK wristband.  The pledge reads, “I PLEDGE TO BE RESPECTFUL OF OTHERS AND STAND UP AGAINST BULLYING WHENEVER AND WHEREVER I SEE IT”

Wednesday

Stop by the tuck shop at lunch and help to prove that “Love is Louder”.  Students can create messages of support that will be tweeted and Love is Louder cookies will be sold in support of Nutrition for Learning.

Thursday

#PinkDay #selfie.  Everyone is encouraged to wear as much pink as they can.  Take a selfie of you in your pink and tweet it to @GrandRiverSAC.  We will be completing a large group selfie for all students and staff dressed in pink after school in the cafeteria.

Friday

We will be creating student posters with colouring book pages for students to take home or put up in their lockers.  Stop by the Front Foyer and colour your own anti-bullying poster.
