Together, with Cameron Heights Collegiate Institute, GRCI has decided to help in the battle against cancer by hosting a Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life event on Friday, June 1st 2018, at:   Grand River Collegiate Institute, 175 Indian Road, Kitchener ON

This year students and staff from Cameron Heights and Grand River will join together to unite in helping to support this cause. Our Relay For Life event will begin at 7:00 pm, and will conclude at
7:00 am the following morning. Chaperones will be present all night and students will not be able to leave in advance of the closing ceremonies without parental permission.

Relay For Life is a non-competitive overnight Relay in which teams of 8-10 participants walk, run or stroll around a track to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society to support research and
support programs for people living with cancer. Relay For Life brings together students, teachers, family members and friends to celebrate cancer survivors with a Survivors’ Victory Lap and to
honour the memory of loved ones with a special Luminary Ceremony at dusk.

All participants will be required to have their parent/guardian sign their Event Registration Form (see below) , pay a $20 Registration Fee and Fundraise a minimum of $100 to support their team in order to participate. We hope that you will allow your child to participate in what is being called “The BEST event our school will ever hold”.
