We are very excited to welcome back students to in person learning. All students are required to complete the Ontario Schools Screening Tool, and the WRDSB Student Self-Screening Verification before coming to school. Please ensure if the screening tool tells you to stay home that you follow this direction in order to stop the risk of COVID transmission.

In addition, all students are required to wear a mask at all times unless they are eating or drinking. Please use this link to review How to properly wear a mask. Students who are not wearing masks appropriately may be asked to leave the school. We are waiting on the additional student masks that have been deployed by the provincial government to be delivered (3 ply cloth masks).  These will be distributed once they have been delivered. We do have additional cloth masks for students that do not have their own mask. They will be available at school doors for students that arrive without a mask.
We have had a few changes around entrance to the school and lunch time. The school will be open at 8am and students are asked to go immediately to their morning classroom. Students with assigned lockers can go to the locker but they should reduce their time in hallways as much as possible. Lunch time will look a great deal like September with all students being required to stay in their morning classroom or leave the school. The cafeteria and other shared spaces will not be available at this time. Due to the weather, students can reenter the building before the end of lunch but they are asked to go back to their morning class until 5 minutes before afternoon classes start. The library will not be open during lunch as COVID restrictions for public libraries are currently at 50%. Students should not try to access the library at lunch. Extra curricular activities are still paused until further notice.
Temporary Remote Learning Information

The Ministry of Education has directed school boards to ensure that families will have access to a remote learning option if they do not wish for their children to return immediately to learning in person during this wave of the pandemic. In order to communicate that your choice is for your child to access the temporary remote learning option, please contact the school attendance line and provide your name and the name of the child(ren) you are contacting us on behalf of. Guardians are required to make this request for any student under the age of 18.
Students will not be penalized or rewarded, academically, for choosing to learn in-person or remotely.
