On Wednesday May 13th, with close to 300 in attendance, the annual Kitchener Youth Action Awards were presented. We are pleased to share that six Renegades were honoured at the event.

The KYAC Youth Awards celebrate the incredible youth in our community, and those who best support them, at a red carpet gala-themed event at the Victoria Park Pavillion. 

The following Renegades were recognized last night for their accomplishments at school and in the community; 

 

Leadership Award Winner – Bella Mazza
Youth in Technology Winner – Imaan Raza
Community nominee honourable mentions – Avarie Ball, Ayani Kantharupan and Keelia Nellis

 

We are also thrilled to announce that Mr. David Dirks, guidance counselor and fast forward program lead, received the Youth Ally Award.

Additional acknowledgement goes to Emma Garcia and Layla Hatch, who are members of the KYAC organizing group who helped put together the extremely successful event.
