Dear Students, Parents, Guardians and Caregivers,

I am privileged to introduce myself as the Principal of Grand River Collegiate Institute. I am excited and enthusiastic to bring my experience and dedication to the Renegade community. I look forward to supporting the rich traditions and achievements that define our school community.

My educational journey began over 30 years ago with time spent working in overseas schools in Brazil and Hong Kong, before returning to CHCI as a Science teacher.  I have been in administration for over 15 years, as a Vice Principal at CHCI, as a Principal at LHSS and WCI, and most recently as a System Principal.  It is with great joy that I return to a high school setting at GRCI.  I believe that public education is a strong system that serves students in pursuing their personal and academic goals, and in achieving their full potential.

A few tips and important pieces of information for GRCI Parents, Guardians and Caregivers:

  • Signing up for School Day and subscribing to the GRCI Website are critical to staying informed about your student’s important events and information about school.
  • Life happens. When you need to report an absence for your child, please find instructions here
  • You are a critical partner in the success and well being of your child, please reach out to your child’s teacher, guidance counselor or Vice Principal if you have any questions or concerns. School Staff Lists are found here, or call our Main Office at 519-576-5100, and press 3 to connect or press 1 to report attendance.
  • The 2024-2025 GRCI School Calendar is found here and the WRDSB Calendar is found here

As I embark on the journey of leading Grand River CI, my priorities will be to ensure that every student feels welcome, valued and capable. I am committed to maintaining open lines of communication and to working collaboratively to address any challenges and celebrate our successes.

Here’s to a successful and inspiring year ahead!

Best Regards,
