Learning Strategies: Skills for Success in Secondary School (GLE)

From Ontario Curriculum, Grades 9 and 10 Guidance and Career Education (2006):

  • The Grade 9 course (GLE1OI) focuses on the development of knowledge and skills that can help students achieve success in secondary school. The course can be adjusted to suit the individual needs of the learner (i.e. students who have an IEP).
  • A learning strategies course for Grade 10 students who have an IEP (GLE2OI). The learning expectations for this course would be based on GLE1OI, but the focus of the course would be different, in order to reflect the content and requirements of the particular courses the student is currently taking.
